CASE I-1. - An 86-year-old woman was in good medical heath except for a memory discurbance. Other family members could not recall her compaining of any neuromuscular symptoms. She had no muscle wekness or myotonic signs. However, the EMG of the hypothenar muscles showed typical myotonic discharges.
